Perfect Vision in Machine Tools: UYAR VisionLine Lens Configurations for Maximum Image Quality
UYAR camera systems are available with two different lens types offering varying fields of view (90°, 142°). Both lenses are fixed focal lengths, meaning the focal length remains constant, providing a fixed frame. The advantage of a fixed focal length lies in its higher image quality, reflected in greater sharpness and contrast. Additionally, it offers higher light intensity, which translates to larger maximum apertures, enabling shots in low-light conditions.
The choice between a 90° and a 142° lens largely depends on your specific application and the requirements for the desired field of view. Both lens types have a high depth of field. The focus range of the lenses starts at 50 cm. If you wish to view an object in your machine that is positioned closer than 50 cm to the camera, we can adjust this specifically for you at the factory.
To assist you in deciding which lens type is right for you, here are the advantages and disadvantages of the two lens types:
Precise Detail Capture in Your Machine Tool: UYAR VisionLine 90° Fixed Focal Length
Pro
Close Range View
Results in higher detail accuracy, capturing essential information about your machining process.
Reduced Distortion
Due to the smaller field of view, there is less distortion.
Clear Image Quality
Higher sharpness in the central area of the image.
Cons
Limited Field of View
Smaller coverage area, not suitable for extensive monitoring.
Wide Field of View for Comprehensive Control: UYAR VisionLine 142° Fixed Focal Length
Pro
Large Field of View
Captures a wider field of view in your machine.
More Details in the Periphery
Can capture more information in the edge areas of the image.
Cons
Increased Distortion
Larger field of view results in slight fisheye effects at the edges.
Stainless Steel Hose in Variable Lengths for Custom Adaptation
At UYAR, we use stainless steel protective hoses to optimally shield the lines of our camera systems. The hoses provide outstanding protection against coolants, as well as sharp and hot chips that are always present in the machining area of machine tools.
The choice of hose length depends on the specific requirements of your machine. Since only the mounting variants with an external ball joint are equipped with the stainless steel hose, adjusting the hose length is relevant only for such cameras.
In the standard configuration, UYAR camera systems are delivered with a 5 m connection cable and a 1 m stainless steel protective hose. The stainless steel protective hose can be configured upon request in increments of 0.5 m from 1 m to 4.5 m.
Mounting Options for Your UYAR Camera System
We understand that every machine tool has unique requirements for mounting our camera systems. That’s why we offer three different mounting options to ensure our camera systems fit perfectly with your machine. Whether you need a sturdy clamp mount, a flexible magnetic mount, or a precise screw mount – at UYAR, you will find the right solution for your needs.
The External Ball Joint for Your Camera Systems
Discover the unbeatable advantages of our external ball joint for your camera systems in the machine room! If you prefer a permanent positioning of your cameras, our external ball joint offers the ideal solution. With its sophisticated design, where the mount and cable package are separate, you will experience high flexibility and efficiency. With this mount, you can route the cable package independently of the camera position in the machine room, ensuring optimized cabling and smooth operation. Additionally, the precise adjustment of the external ball joint allows for a tailored alignment of your camera systems for maximum visibility and monitoring.
Neodymium Magnet Option for Variable Camera Positioning.
With the powerful neodymium magnet, you can flexibly adapt your camera systems to changing requirements. The ability to easily mount the camera system in various positions within the machine room significantly enhances the efficiency and precision of your monitoring and inspection processes.
The Internal Ball Joint for Your Camera Systems
The advantages of the internal ball joint lie in its compact design. This type of mounting is particularly suitable for permanently securing the camera system within the machine tool. The simple design in stainless steel and aluminum finish integrates seamlessly into the machine interior and does not provide a catch point for chip buildup. A significant advantage is the quick installation, which only requires a hole with a diameter of 42 mm in the machine wall. This mounting method does not use a stainless steel protective hose; instead, the lines are routed directly through the ball joint mount from the machine interior. The mechanical adjustment range of the internal ball joint includes a tilt angle of approximately 80°, a swivel angle of approximately 50°, and a rotation angle of approximately 360°.
